In La Belleza de lo Efímero, Roberto López shows the idea that everything is subject to the laws of time as a mere process of life and death in contrast to the idea that human beings have of having to overcome his finitude.
To represent this idea of the ephemeral against the persistence of time, Roberto López elaborates the work with extreme delicacy and introduces small sets of sound expression which fade without solution of continuity under a structure in perpetuum mobile.
La belleza de lo efímero was premiered at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía of Madrid in 2007 and was awarded the second prize for the Author Foundation and the Center for the Diffusion of Contemporary Music.
